Sasha is a time traveller – she is travelling to the future because of her love in planning and strategy to create the future she wants to see. And now she is not only want to use it for herself. She would love to take everyone into this journey, to be empowered and playful to see the future.

Sasha is a creative strategist with 5 years professional experience in creative industry. She is also a founder of a creative studio called Guna Design Co. in Jakarta, Indonesia.

My name is Siti Ariani Safarina, a name that actually a blueprint of my future self. Whilst Siti means “Lady”, my dear friend told me that my first name phonetically resembled the thing that I love the most: The City. While Safarina is an accidental name that my parents gave me, which apparently means “A Long Journey” in both Arabic and Farsi. You can tell I am born and destined as a wanderer.
Travelling 6,000 miles away from my city, a kampung kota or urban kampung or urban village that both shaped my hopes and fears, I carried my dreams and other the people’s dream who are craving a change:
A better future, a possible future.
Using design, creativity and strategic foresight as my weapons to build a future, I am exploring “How can collective imaginations empower citizens and experts to forge and converge the possible futures?”
In this journey, I am collaborating with numerous designers, experts, and citizens to explore the potential future that can serve as a foundation for building a sustainable future for kampung kota, brick by brick.
